Our Annual Events

Our annual events are the heart of BWJOC — packed with adventure, fun, and community spirit!

Polar Jeep Run

The Polar Jeep Run is an annual winter fundraising event hosted by BWJOC and held on the third Saturday of February. Jeep enthusiasts come together for a Topless/Door-less Jeep adventure through the Blue Water area, following designated routes and completing timed challenges along the way.

Beyond the ride, the event features a heated tent with music, food, and fun, plus raffles, 50/50 draws, and Chance Boards for prizes. All proceeds support local children’s charities, including child abuse prevention programs, Christmas adoptions, and other initiatives benefiting children in need.

It’s a day filled with adventure, camaraderie, winter fun, and giving back—the perfect way for Jeepers to embrace the season while supporting the community.

Parades

BWJOC proudly participates in several annual parades throughout the year, spreading community spirit and Jeep enthusiasm. Our parade lineup includes:

  1. Algonac Pickerel Tournament Parade

  2. Rotary Club’s International Day Parade

  3. Sperry’s Lighted Parade

These events allow us to stay connected with the community, celebrate local traditions, and share our love of Jeeps with families across the Blue Water area.

Go Topless Day (GTD)

The Topless Jeep Event is a nationwide annual event held every May, where Jeep enthusiasts take their tops off and hit the road to raise money for the Backpacks for Kids campaign. To make every dollar count, Barricade matches up to $500 of the funds raised, helping local children get the school supplies they need.

Veterans Day Run

Each year, BWJOC members gather for a Veterans Day Run, starting with a friendly breakfast get-together before heading to the Veterans Day Ceremony. This event is our way of honoring local veterans, showing appreciation for their service, and enjoying time together as a club.
